Job description

  • The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
  • The Product Owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint.
  • The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics., * A minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoW applicable experience.
  • The candidate must have a good understanding of CID (Classification, Identification and Discrimination) used in C2 systems including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
  • The candidate must have the ability to provide oversight to the development team and verify the team’s work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
  • The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
  • The candidate must also be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more of the DoD services.
  • Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.

MSRC is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS (Track Identification Services) SW (Software) Development Team Product Owner (PO) to work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the TIS team. The TIS team is responsible for the identification and classification of tracks in the C2 (Command and Control) software.
