Job description

We’re seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to join our dynamic Information Technology team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing critical technology initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex IT projects, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and delivering technology solutions that support organizational objectives in a highly regulated environment., * Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple, complex IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, utilizing Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedules, and costs using appropriate project management techniques.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and accomplishments effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and maintained appropriately.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, motivating project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify best practices.
  • Present project architectures and technical solutions at Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings for review and approval.
  • Work with vendors and technology teams to complete Cloud Service Agreements (CSA) and other required IT/program documentation for supported applications.
  • Collaborate with IT Security teams to complete Software Security Assurance Process (SSAP), application scans, vulnerability assessments, HIPAA compliance activities, audits, and other required security reviews.
  • Partner with IT and vendor teams to resolve identified vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Oversee user test plans, provide UAT support, and coordinate system deployments, upgrades, QA/UAT activities, and post-production support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a significant portion managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Proven experience with both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various IT domains, including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and competing demands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, Microsoft SQL,SQL Server C++, .Net, XML, ASP a plus.
