IT Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex enterprise IT initiatives within its Messaging & Collaboration organization. This individual will be responsible for managing large-scale infrastructure and modernization projects across Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, email infrastructure, and related technology platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating in a large enterprise environment, managing high-visibility projects, communicating with executive leadership, and coordinating cross-functional technology teams from project initiation through delivery.

The Senior Project Manager will support major enterprise infrastructure initiatives, including:

Email and messaging modernization programs

Large-scale infrastructure transformation efforts

Enterprise platform migrations and application cutovers

Executive-level portfolio reporting and governance

Cross-functional technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and business units

This role will work closely with engineering, messaging, security, and business teams to support strategic technology investments and operational improvements.

Skills and Requirements

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise IT infrastructure projects.

Manage large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives within messaging and collaboration environments.

Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource forecasts, budgets, risk registers, and status reporting.

Coordinate activities across infrastructure, engineering, security, application, and business teams.

Drive project governance, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate executive-level communications, presentations, and status reporting.

Manage project documentation, tracking, and reporting within Jira and Confluence.

Partner with internal leaders, vendors, and offshore resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and roadblocks before they impact project success.

Support organizational change management and adoption efforts for new technologies and processes.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.

PMP Certification required.

7+ years of enterprise-level project management experience.

Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or technology transformation projects.

Experience working within Fortune 200 or similarly complex enterprise organizations.

Strong executive presentation and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, and enterprise project management methodologies.

Strong understanding of project governance, stakeholder management, budgeting, and risk management. Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, or related collaboration technologies.

Experience leading infrastructure migrations, platform modernization efforts, or enterprise technology transformations.

Experience within utilities, energy, or highly regulated industries.

Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.

Familiarity with cloud technologies, security controls, and enterprise collaboration platforms.

Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certifications preferred.
