Job description

Responsible for day-to-day implementation, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance and application support for the Enterprise Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP Systems, HR, Payroll and Benefits, and other various software applications in use at Progress Rail. This position is responsible for maintaining applications and systems needed by the organization to ensure they are fully functional 24/7/365, providing rapid response and support to systems as required, * Daily support of enterprise applications. Depending on assigned area, these may include Transportation

Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Planning, Purchasing, Warehousing, Sales and Invoicing), HR Benefits and Payroll, etc.;

  • Works with internal and external customers to develop test case scenarios for functional enhancements

to implement systems in accordance with best practices;

  • Responsible for system upgrades, availability and support and act as POC for vendors;
  • Provide remote and onsite customer training, ranging from individuals to large groups;
  • Engage and interact with users to troubleshoot and resolve system issues;
  • Perform code deployments to systems; apply and test vendor patches and upgrades as well as server

maintenance with limited business impact;

  • Collaborate with leaders to convert business requirements into technical specifications;
  • Adhere to SOX and IT policies and procedures in performing job duties;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

o Skill Level II - 3+ years of experience in IT with position-relevant skills; o Skill Level I -5-7+ years of experience in IT with position-relevant skills;

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field preferred (e.g., CIS, MIS, or related technology field), Positions require technical support experience in the assigned area of responsibility, dependent on position (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, SharePoint/K2 design/development, Kronos, administration experience in a production environment, etc.);

  • Preferred skills/certifications dependent on specific assignment may include MCITP equivalent

(SharePoint) or Microsoft Certified SharePoint; K2 BlackPearl Administration Certification / Troubleshooting; K2 Cloud; or ERP proficiency; experience using/administering server operating systems (Windows Server/Linux);

  • Knowledge of how to monitor and understand SQL Server Reporting Systems;
  • Experience with Segregation of Duties and SOX Controls;

  • Strength - Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and

walking. Occasional light to medium lifting;

with office communications. Constant sitting, frequent walking, occasional standing;

  • Vision/Hearing Requirements - Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
  • Work Environment - Position is consistent with standard office environment;
  • Emotional Demands - High level of responsibility; high sense of urgency. Ability to multitask and

coordinate multiple issues simultaneously. Requires ability to coordinate work of a team to accomplish mission success;
