Job description
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Lead IT Specialist NH-2210-02 to work at the 96FSS/FSR at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
In this position you will serve as the lead IT specialist working with non-apporpriated funds business network and Air Force computer network., * Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Force Support Squadron information systems, ensuring that FSS local area network (LAN) and FSS wide area network (WAN) systems complies with legal and regulatory requirements

Analyzes processes, problem activities, and system designs of the FSS activities to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Plans, coordinates, and installs applications software and hardware for operational and point-of-sale systems.

This LAN/WAN is referred to as the FSS.NET. Structures assignments to create effective and economical positions.

Coordinates with other organization managers and customers as appropriate.

Troubleshoots and diagnoses system failures to isolate source of problems.

Assesses and revises policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
- Runs tests to verify operation ability and functionality; analyzes hardware and software malfunctions to resolve physical and logical processing problems., * Provides input to the team chief on the development of subordinate performance standards and performance of team members and the team as a whole.
- Informs the Resource Manager on behalf of the team on performance management issues/problems.

Ability to lead, administer, develop, and support IT systems and services to include data storage, software applications, security and system analysis., * U.S. Citizenship * Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period * Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest * Requires 1 year of specialized experience at the next-lower grade (GS-09) * US. Citizenship * Ability to balance workload and provide advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of (functional area) and administrative issues.
