Job description

Experteer Overview As Senior Infrastructure Architect at Sonos, you shape the technical foundation that powers cross-team product development. You design reusable cloud and on-premise blueprints and drive the IaC strategy to standardize infrastructure. You collaborate with Network Engineering, Product, Security, and IT, ensuring resilient, scalable, and well-tested platforms. You mentor operations teams and enable smooth production for transformative products. This role offers impact through architecture leadership and hands-on guidance. Compensation / Benefits * Own end-to-end design of cloud and on-premise infrastructure, producing reusable blueprints used company-wide * Define and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy and tooling standards * Collaborate with Network Engineering and stakeholders across Product Software, Product Hardware, Security, and IT to align architecture with business requirements * Define SOPs for software and hardware installations and ensure resiliency and service readiness * Automate development and release processes with Quality Engineering and pursue broader automation opportunities * Evaluate technology innovations and emerging AI tooling for required value and feasibility * Serve as escalation point and SME for operations, guiding incident resolution and complex production issues * Mentor Global Operations on Incident, Change, and Release Management, and assist engineers with performance and availability Tasks * 7+ years of experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience * Hands-on experience with data center, cloud, web, and data service technologies * Experience in a DevOps or software engineering role with proficiency in AWS * Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible * Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm * Working knowledge of Linux and Windows administration and Akamai * Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences * Willingness to work from the office at least 3 days per week Key requirements * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * 401(k) with company matching * Open Time Off policy * 12 paid holidays per year * Parental leave and disability insurance * Company-paid disability, life, and AD&D insurance
