Job description

  • Provide advanced legal, business, regulatory, litigation, and competitive intelligence research.
  • Design and deliver customized current awareness and self-service programs for attorneys, clients, industries, practice groups, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop automated monitoring, altering, and tracking solutions for legal developments, regulatory changes, litigation activity, client news, market trends, and competitor intelligence.
  • Partner with attorneys and business professionals to integrate research materials into existing workflows and to recommend strategies to improve those workflows as needed.
  • Evaluate, test, and help implement new research, knowledge management, and AI technologies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on research strategy, intelligence gathering, and emerging legal technologies.
  • Collaborate with other Innovation, Marketing and Business Development, IT, and other departments on strategic initiatives that enhance the firm’s research and intelligence capabilities

Requirements

  • Master of Library Science (MLS) from an accredited school; Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal research, analysis, and information resources.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and consultative skills.
  • Ability to translate attorney and client needs into practical research and intelligence solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered research tools, legal research platforms, Microsoft 365, and knowledge management technologies.

Preferred:

  • Law firm, legal information provider or professional services experience.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence, current awareness, legal technology, workflow automation, or knowledge management.
  • Experience evaluating and utilizing generative AI tools within a legal environment.

The compensation for this position is $90,000 - $125,000, with offers contingent upon the various factors.
