Requirements

Revenue Integrity & Charge Capture Specialist / Full-time (8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday in Del Norte) Seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Integrity & Charge Capture Specialist to support the hospital’s revenue cycle by ensuring accurate and timely charge entry, coding support, and reconciliation across multiple patient care departments. This position plays a critical role in maintaining billing accuracy, supporting regulatory compliance, and collaborating with clinical departments to ensure complete documentation and appropriate reimbursement.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Not required

Equipment Knowledge: Excellent Computer Skills, Copy Machine and Fax Machine, Printers

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;

Experience: Previous experience in hospital charge capture, medical billing, coding, revenue cycle, or patient financial services preferred but not required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS coding principles and hospital billing practices preferred. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and hospital billing systems such as Amrita, T-System, Pyxis, and EM-System is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues accurately. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other healthcare software systems. Knowledge of hospital revenue cycle processes and charge capture principles. Ability to interpret physician documentation and medical records accurately. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Must have verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to duties and must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member and be willing to learn.
