Front and backend Lead

Please understand that our guests require care 365 days a year, so it is important that all interested applicants be available to work one weekend day and some holidays., We are seeking a Kennel Supervisor to join our team. The right candidate will have a background in dog daycare and boarding, experience running a dog kennel facility, and the ability to train new employees. Our Kennel Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the other Kennel Attendants, as well as maintaining and updating the shelter’s records and training new staff members. A successful candidate will be a passionate and caring individual who shares our mission of taking care of our pups and employees at the facility., * Care for dogs

• Managing and handling shifts - assign activities to the team and run the shift smoothly
• Use software to add and update records of dogs and bill customers
• Knowledge of animal behavior patterns and body language
• Escorting animals throughout all areas of the facility and clean-up as needed
• Cleaning the Pens and boarding areas (if required)
• Grooming and giving baths to the pups (If required)
• Feeding and administering medications as needed
• Customer service, both on the telephone, via email and in person
• Canine guest check-in and check-out in a fast-paced environment
• Managing staff
• Overseeing operations of the shift
• Computer skills

The position will require to work in shifts either morning or evening and as mentioned before may involve shifts some weekends as well.

The successful candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, report to work on time and must always treat our canine guests with compassion and care. You must also possess the following qualifications:

• Experience working or volunteering in either a kennel, shelter, rescue or veterinary facility IS required. Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple dogs of all sizes on leash or off leash
• Adherence to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Computer literacy
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment and common sense, * Dog Daycare: 3 years (Required)
