The KONZA Health Clinical Concepts and Data Quality Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the accuracy, consistency, and clinical integrity of healthcare data by defining, validating, and continuously improving clinical concepts and data quality standards-ensuring that clinicians, operational teams, and analytical systems can rely on trustworthy information for safe patient care, informed decision-making, and organizational performance.
Essential Functions of the Clinical Concepts and Data Quality Analyst
· Assist in development of nomenclature and code sets to apply in NLP coding
· Complete quality analysis of output files to ensure rule sets and redactions are accurate
· Work with clients to develop specifications for data extracts
· Develop specifications for data extracts utilizing data dictionary and clinical code sets
· Complete quality review of data extracts for accuracy
· Work with technical teams for completion of work
· Ensure deliverables are delivered timely and accurately
· Assisting with de-identification and limited data set rules and quality review
· Review of data in FHIR, XML, HL7v2, and data extract formats
- Design and coordinate system implementations for internal staff
- Walk the staff through the problem-solving process as needs arise
- Provide accurate information on IT systems and services
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions to the appropriate internal team leader
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, HIM, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field
o Preferred: Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Clinical Informatics, HIM, Public Health Informatics, or Data Science
· 5+ years of healthcare data experience
· Detail-oriented and organized
· Analytical and Critical Thinking skills
· Experience with NLM terminology standards (LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm)
· Experience creating de-identified and limited data sets
· Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements
· Experience with FHIR, C-CDA, and USCDI
· Experience conducting clinical data quality assessments
· Quality review of large-scale data sets
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced culture
· Ability to multitask and handle multiple parallel projects
· Ability to work well with others (be a team player)
· Ability to work independently with little direction
· Able to prioritize work according to deadlines and organizational initiatives to produce assigned outcomes
· Highly developed problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
· MS Project or equivalent project management software experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· Strong business analysis, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer management, and project management skills
