Job description

  • You feel you need clear instructions
  • You struggle with ambiguity
  • You’d rather specialize than constantly learn new things.
  • You prefer following established processes.

Who We Are: A small team, ongoing clients, real projects. No corporate nonsense. If you like working where your code matters and you get to work closely with the clients, you’ll fit in., * Build custom Shopify themes and features using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS (TailwindCSS)

  • Work directly with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and solve technical challenges in plain English
  • Own projects from kickoff to launch - you’ll be the lead, not just following tickets
  • Use AI-powered tools (Cursor, etc.) to write cleaner code faster
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing client sites, * Special answer box
  • Rate your level of experience use AI models and tooling for development on a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being expert). Explain what models and tools you’ve tried and your workflow. Provide any context if school or previous work environments encouraged or discouraged AI usage
  • Tell us about something you chose to build outside of work or school. What did you build, what motivated you to build it, and how far did you take it?
  • What sources do you regularly use to keep up with development and improve your skills? Name a few specific sources and share one useful thing you learned recently.
  • Provide links to past work or a portfolio site so we can see work you’ve done (not just a github repo, link projects in a viewable state)

Requirements

  • You hate leaving things “good enough.”
  • You care about details.
  • You teach yourself things constantly.
  • You’ve built side projects or things just because you wanted to.
  • You communicate clearly.
  • You like being trusted with responsibility., Someone with 1-3 years of dev experience who learns quickly and wants to keep growing. You have worked on multiple projects, figured stuff out on your own, and care about doing quality work.

Specifically:

  • Strong JavaScript and CSS fundamentals
  • AI coding tools (Cursor) and how to use them effectively
  • Eye for detail - you notice when spacing is off or UX feels clunky
  • Can explain technical concepts to non-technical people without making them feel stupid
  • Shopify experience preferred but not required, if you’re good with templating languages and can self-learn, you’ll pick it up quickly

You will be expected to deliver high quality work quickly, without extensive revisions or constant manager check-ins, * Web development: 2 years (Required)
