Job description
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician Level 1 to join our dynamic IT support team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical issues, providing prompt and effective assistance across a wide range of hardware, software, and network-related concerns. Your energetic approach will help ensure seamless IT operations, enhance user satisfaction, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our organization’s technology infrastructure. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills while supporting a vibrant, fast-paced environment., * Respond promptly to incoming help desk tickets via help desk systems, providing clear and professional technical support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and peripherals such as mobile devices and printers.
- Support software troubleshooting efforts for applications including Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools.
- Assist with network troubleshooting tasks involving LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPN connections, and Active Directory management.
- Support desktop support activities such as installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software components.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and assist with Group Policy Object (GPO) configurations to ensure security compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze technical issues, escalate complex problems when necessary, and document solutions thoroughly for future reference.
- Maintain accurate records of customer support tickets, issue resolutions, and equipment inventories to ensure efficient tracking and reporting.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for network infrastructure including switches, routers, TCP protocols, and LAN configurations.
- Assist in equipment troubleshooting and hardware support tasks to minimize downtime and improve user productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of IT support fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems; knowledge of Linux is a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, LANs, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with help desk systems for ticket management and customer support tracking.
- Knowledge of Active Directory management including user account setup, GPO configuration, and permissions management.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset; able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Analysis skills to diagnose problems quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments is desirable but not mandatory.
