Job description

Provide advanced support of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new, modifying, and supporting existing software applications. Undertakes complex projects requiring specialized technical knowledge and innovative thinking., * Conducts workflow study and analysis of business practices: Analyzes and documents existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions.

  • Performs application lifecycle activities, including: Code, monitor, maintain, test and debug software applications; follows established change management processes; facilitates code reviews and enforces code standards; develops and executes test plan development; researches and evaluates new technology, products, specialized hardware and tools to optimize development and functionality of applications; makes recommendations to management and customers; assists in ensuring team members complete tasks as assigned, taking corrective action to stay on schedule.
  • Provides support for complex operational activities and recoveries; coordinates with software vendors and external service providers; troubleshoots escalated software bugs and provides fixes.
  • Provides off-hours support, as needed.
  • Provides strong leadership, cultivates and fosters excellent customer service; enforces adherence to departmental standards; instructs, trains and guides less experienced staff.Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
