NET Developer

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support core application development, modernization, and data migration initiatives. This role combines software development, requirements analysis, and data migration validation within an Agile Scrum framework.

You will join a cross-functional, self-managed Scrum team collaborating with Product Owners, developers, testers, and data specialists to design customer-facing UIs, build Power Apps, and deliver enhancements and bug fixes for existing .NET applications. A key focus of this role involves developing automated data testing scripts and documenting legacy-to-modern interface and data mappings.

Software Development & Technical Implementation

• Design, develop, and refactor web application components using ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and Azure App Service.
• Design, build, and support low-code solutions using Power Apps alongside customer-facing web UIs.
• Work with Azure SQL databases to design schemas, implement stored procedures, and optimize queries.
• Collaborate with data engineers on SSIS-based ETL processes and data migration tasks.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and optimization using Azure DevOps and Azure Git Repositories.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure performance, maintainability, and security best practices.

Data Migration Validation & Testing

• Develop and maintain automated, reusable data validation scripts to verify post-migration data accuracy across test environments.
• Validate record counts, field-level transformations, referential integrity, and business logic consistency.
• Identify data discrepancies and collaborate with data/dev teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data validation procedures and transformation logic.
• Support Integration and UAT testing by building/executing test cases and logging defects in Azure DevOps.

Requirements & Process Analysis

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
• Map current and future-state workflows, integration points, and data dependencies.
• Create and validate Legacy-to-Modern Data Mapping and Interface Mapping documents to align legacy screens/functions with modern components.

Agile Team Collaboration

• Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives).
• Work closely with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog.
• Drive continuous improvement, shared accountability, and clean deliverable execution.

• Technical Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Azure Platform Services (Azure SQL, App Service, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git Repositories), and Power Apps.
• Data & Database Expertise: Deep experience with relational databases, data modeling, SQL scripting, and automated data validation/testing techniques.
• Systems Analysis: Experience documenting legacy-to-modern data and interface mappings and system workflow dependencies.
• Methodology & Tools: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum principles, Azure DevOps (work item and defect tracking), and MS Office/Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with legacy system modernization or public sector/enterprise digital transformation projects.
• Knowledge of application security, role-based access control (RBAC), API documentation, and system integration testing.
