Job description

CTG is seeking a Data Analyst 2 to support our client’s operations at the Sullivan Park R&D Center in Corning, New York. This position will collect, validate, analyze, and visualize complex data to support reporting, performance measurement, data quality, and informed business decisions., * Collect, organize, validate, and analyze complex data from multiple sources.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, visualizations, and performance metrics.
  • Use Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Python, SQL, JMP, or comparable analytical tools to communicate findings.
  • Monitor data integrity and identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, cleansing, validation, and quality-control activities.
  • Identify trends, risks, anomalies, opportunities, and performance drivers within complex datasets.
  • Translate business requirements into dashboards, analytical solutions, KPI frameworks, and reporting logic.
  • Partner with business, technical, operational, and program-management stakeholders.
  • Develop clear data definitions, KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and data-management documentation.
  • Prepare executive-ready reports and presentations that translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Assist with UAT, troubleshooting, process improvement, and reporting enhancements.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable reporting practices across source systems and analytical outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 1-5 years of professional data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience analyzing complex datasets.
  • Experience with Python, Excel, or comparable analytical tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and business reports.
  • Experience with data validation, profiling, reconciliation, cleansing, or data-quality management.
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position based on the client’s requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JMP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, lookup functions, formulas, or macros.
  • Experience with Python, R, or statistical-analysis tools.
  • Experience documenting data definitions, KPI calculations, source mappings, or reporting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, research and development, laboratory, engineering, healthcare, financial, or other complex operational environments.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, dimensional modeling, ETL, or cloud data platforms.
  • Experience working in an Agile or cross-functional project environment.

Benefits & conditions

$23.41 - $28.58 an hour - Full-time, Contract, This is a fully onsite position at the Sullivan Park R&D Center. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance or be prepared to relocate before starting.

Pay: $23.41 - $28.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
