Job description
We are seeking a Computer Client Support Analyst I to join an enterprise IT support team in Sacramento. This position provides Tier 1/2 technical support to internal users, troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, hardware, software, network connectivity, VPN issues, and other common desktop technology problems., * Provide Tier 1/2 technical support to internal users through phone, chat, and other support channels.
- Handle approximately 30-50 support calls per day, including multiple interactions simultaneously.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, hardware, software, peripherals, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot VPN and basic IP/network-related issues.
- Walk users through technical troubleshooting steps and provide clear, professional guidance.
- Create, update, prioritize, and assign incident tickets and work orders based on impact and complexity.
- Accurately document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and customer interactions.
- Identify issues requiring escalation and engage the appropriate technical support teams.
- Monitor system, network, and application alerts and correlate related customer issues to avoid duplicate incidents.
- Follow established procedures, work instructions, runbooks, and playbooks.
- Communicate system outages, application failures, and other significant issues to appropriate support personnel.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and experience working in a high-volume Service Desk or Help Desk environment., * At least 1 year of IT Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Basic understanding of IP/networking concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting VPN connectivity.
- Experience with ticketing/incident management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent internal customer service skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and explain solutions clearly to users.
- Ability to follow established procedures and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification.
- IT-related degree, certification, or technical training.
- ServiceNow experience.
- Previous experience in a high-volume Service Desk environment.
- Experience with monitoring systems, alerts, or IT operations centers.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise networking.
- Experience working with runbooks and playbooks., The ideal candidate is a customer-focused Help Desk or Service Desk professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume support environment. They should be confident troubleshooting Windows and Microsoft applications, handling VPN and basic networking issues, documenting tickets, and communicating effectively with users and technical teams.

3.93.9 out of 5 stars Sacramento, CA 95830 Hybrid work $24 - $27 an hour - Contract, * Initial 2-week onsite training in Sacramento, generally from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
- Following training, the position will initially be onsite in Sacramento for approximately 3-6 months.
- Once fully trained and consistently performing well, the position may transition to a hybrid schedule, generally with Monday and Friday remote and Tuesday-Thursday onsite.
- There may also be an opportunity for a mostly remote schedule with Wednesday onsite, based on business needs and performance.
- Multiple 8-hour shifts are available, including 6:00 AM, 6:00 PM/evening, and overnight/graveyard shifts.
- Candidates must be comfortable supporting a 24×7 operations environment and working a variable shift schedule as required.
- A 40 WPM typing test will be required during training.
Contract Details
- Duration: 12 months
- Pay: $27/hour
- Start: ASAP, ideally within two weeks
- Extension: Potential for contract extension based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
- Conversion: Potential opportunity for full-time employment.
