Job description

Understand the needs for new development products, plan projects, and present development plans and policies to our customers. Enforce progress control of each item in development., 1. Propose development, design strategy, and planning ideas. Responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met.

  1. Collect data which is advantageous to our company and utilize it for product projects. Grasp development needs and create plans accordingly.

  2. Present development plan and policy of GECOM to our customers. Discuss how to proceed with countermeasures for defects.

  3. Plan and control design cost with awareness for department balance.

  4. Organize plans for projects to analyze the cause for field warranty claims and for defects of development products.

  5. Maintain and project a positive attitude.

  6. Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager.

  7. Consistent and regular attendance.

Requirements

MS degree in Mechanical Engineering & 4 years’ experience, or BS degree & 6+ years experience

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal)

CAD system training (Catia/UG preferred), Catia, V5

Experience in a fast-paced office/manufacturing environment

APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC & PPAP training

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Health and Safety:

Requires the ability to sit, stand, or remain stationary for prolonged periods of time, move about short distances inside an office and plant setting to access file cabinets, office machinery, and conduct work on computer.

Occasionally lift items up to 20 pounds.

Position entails some travel. Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle required. Compliance with all applicable government safety and environmental standards., * Must be eligible to work in the United States. Do you require sponsorship?
