Job description

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our Software Development team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about writing clean code, contributing to open-source projects, and learning modern cloud technologies. You’ll work alongside senior engineers on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
Contribute to and engage with open-source projects and communities
Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, reporting, and application logic
Assist in deploying and maintaining applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior team members
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the stack
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
2-3 years of professional or project-based software development experience
Solid understanding of at least one programming language, such as:
C++
C# (.NET)
Java
Python
JavaScript / TypeScript
Willingness to learn additional languages/platforms as needed
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (writing queries, joins, basic optimization)
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience contributing to, or actively using, open-source projects (personal GitHub projects count!)
Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Experience with source code version control systems, including GitHub, for code management, collaboration, and change tracking.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with additional languages/platforms such as C++, Go, Ruby, or PHP
Exposure to Salesforce platform (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Components, or Salesforce administration)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
Prior internship or co-op experience in a software engineering role
Active contributions to public open-source repositories
