Dexterra is seeking an experienced and highly capable Maintenance Administrator to reporting to the Maintenance manager at a large-scale workforce accommodation site of 500-4000+ rooms. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities for all facets for Dexterra, for the Workforce accommodation facility, and assets. The role of the maintenance Planner is to enhance the productivity and work quality of the site services team by effective planning, coordination and scheduling of resources including personnel, material, equipment, and contractor services. This role provides quality site maintenance plans with necessary information to allow for the efficient scheduling and execution of on-site maintenance work in accordance with expectations and goals of Dexterra. This position will interface with clients, maintenance and hospitality management, Dexterra purchasing team, and third-party vendors.
This is an onsite role operating on a rotational schedule, typically 14 days on / 14 days off, 21 days on / 10 days off, or 28 days on / 14 days off. While on rotation, meals and accommodations are provided, along with travel support as required.
This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit to work testing as a condition of employment.
YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE:
- Facilitate and administer all day-to-day maintenance planning activities including receiving work requests from client departments and determining who should perform the work: Dexterra personnel or contractor.
- Assign priority to work orders by gathering input from key stakeholders to create maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate labour resources, equipment, parts and materials to support the maintenance function in the areas of breakdown, preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress and any potential operational problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Maintenance Superintendents, Camp Managers and maintenance personnel to determine the appropriate level of preventive maintenance required.
- Identify assets for preventive maintenance based on location and other planning attributes in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Create work orders and determine schedule/due date for required work and ensure they are properly closed and up to date.
- Analyze completed preventative maintenance result data to refine asset inspection plan for following year.
- Perform cost analysis on preventative maintenance activities to support budgeting process.
- Provide solutions to planned scheduling conflicts immediately and ensure scheduling deadlines are met.
- Work with Maintenance Superintendents and all other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes with scheduling.
- Work to stabilize the schedule to promote company operations efficiency and effective operations.
- Ensure that all tasks are continuously improved by incorporating feedback from work execution processes.
- Identify and implement planning system and process improvements.
- Utilize the CMMS and produce standard reports on maintenance key performance indicators as required.
- Assist Maintenance Superintendents with acquiring third party quotes, preparing estimates and collecting/submitting billing information.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree, a Journeyman tradesperson or a combination of relevant work experience.
- Industry knowledge and familiarity with camp facilities and equipment.
- Excellent working knowledge in using at least one of the CMMS systems (i.e., Maintenance Connection, or Maximo) and database applications is an asset.
- Proficient with MS Office programs.
- Ability to lead meetings.
- Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel
