Job description
- Manage and monitor programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Implement, investigate, and maintain accident prevention activities in the plant.
- Maintain safety compliance within the plant.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training.
- Implement, participate in, and maintain plant-based safety teams.
- Coordinate the investigation of safety-related incidents.
- Lead monthly safety-related meetings, review employee surveys, and provide feedback regarding status of employee continuous improvement (CI) safety suggestions.
- Monitor on-going legal and regulatory plant compliance with all existing company safety and health programs. Order safety equipment/supplies.
Requirements
- A four-year college degree is preferred or two-year degree along with safety experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and/or OSHA certification required.
- Organizational skills required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.
- Ability to work independently, development of power point presentations for employees as well as management, and speak in front of large groups of people.
- Experience in training lift truck operators a plus and post high school training in safety and/or ergonomics preferred.
Additional Information
- Position located in New Knoxville, Ohio: 07587 State Rt 219, New Knoxville, OH 45871.
- 1st Shift - Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with 2nd and 3rd shift support as needed.
