Job description

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join one of their investment banking clients in NYC. The individual will support the team in building a developer/cloud centric application delivery program and will help identify, document, and automate developer requests to build scalable processes. A persistent security-driven mindset and agility will be critical in this function. This is a hybrid role requiring minimum 2 days a week onsite in NYC.

Responsibilities:

-Build, maintain, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services

-Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Azure Bicep

-Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, patching, and operational processes

-Design and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

-Create automation tools and scripts using PowerShell and Python

-Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions

-Drive platform reliability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives

-Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resiliency efforts

-Integrate security controls, vulnerability management, and governance into cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines

-Partner with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to establish DevOps best practices

-Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

-Promote DevOps adoption through collaboration, mentorship, and process improvement

Requirements

1-5 years’ experience in DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline

-Experience with major cloud platforms Microsoft Azure or AWS (Azure preferred)

-Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages

-Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Azure Bicep preferred)

-Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines -Advanced experience in Microsoft Azure ecosystem - Azure DevOps, Entra ID, AKS, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, and Azure networking
