Job description
A manufacturing company with multiple locations in Canada and the US is recruiting for a System Administrator who will manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that networks, servers and systems operate efficiently. The successful candidate will be configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software, monitoring system performance and implementing security protocols to protect data and network integrity., · Provide onsite and remote administration of IT infrastructure
· Eligible to obtain passport and willing to travel to Canada as required
· Responding to technical issues, supporting in office and remote end users, resolving hardware and software problems efficiently
· Analyze, diagnose and resolve problems with Windows servers, desktops, routers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment
· Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers, networks and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime
· Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls to ensure data security and comply with company policies
· Installing and updating software, patches and security updates to keep systems secure and operating efficiently
· Perform data backups, implement and test disaster recovery plans preventing data loss and ensuring business continuity
· Documenting system configurations, processes and troubleshooting steps for future reference and team collaboration
· Can work in fast-paced environments and complete projects with tight-deadlines
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Collaborating with IT teams and vendors to implement new technologies, optimize infrastructure and improve overall system reliability
· Stay up to date with IT trends and technologies
Requirements
· 10+ years of experience in an IT Systems Administrator role is preferred
· Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Purview, DLP, Exchange, Microsoft Server roles and features, Active Directory and Azure AD
- Experience with Cloud solutions, Intune, remote monitoring and asset management
- Experience working with Hypervisors and virtualization, internal networks, VOIP, routers, managed switches, firewalls, VPN and backup systems.
- CompTIA or Microsoft certifications are an asset., * IT System Adminisrator : 10 years (Preferred)
