Job description
Join our dynamic IT support team as a Help Desk Specialist, where you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues and ensuring seamless technology experiences for our users. In this energetic role, you’ll provide expert assistance across a variety of hardware, software, and network systems, empowering users to work efficiently and confidently. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a positive support environment, making a real difference in daily operations., * Respond promptly to user inquiries via help desk systems, providing clear and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and peripheral devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Support network infrastructure including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP configurations, LAN setups, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions by performing hardware repairs or replacements as needed.
- Assist with software troubleshooting for applications such as Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools.
- Maintain accurate customer support ticket records, document solutions, and follow up to ensure issues are fully resolved.
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects involving Windows Server environments and general IT support tasks.
- Provide technical guidance on mobile devices, computer management tools, and operating system updates to enhance user productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of help desk systems and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with troubleshooting software issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience supporting computer hardware components like desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Ability to manage Active Directory accounts effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions clearly.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components including Windows Server environments and basic analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction; able to prioritize multiple requests efficiently.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous but not mandatory.
