Job description

GXM Technologies is seeking a Data Analyst to support a Federal Government program focused on advancing innovation, strengthening portfolio performance, and enabling data-driven decision-making. This position is based in Washington, DC and requires on-site work five days per week, with local and occasional nationwide travel to support client events as needed.

The Data Analyst will support the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of program data to help improve operational performance and inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate has experience working with large datasets, developing dashboards and reports, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple Government-approved systems and data sources.

  • Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation to support data governance and consistency.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and recurring reports using Government-approved tools.
  • Support statutory and management reporting by preparing accurate and timely data products.
  • Identify data quality issues and perform data validation, reconciliation, and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify reporting requirements and translate business needs into analytical products.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of data management and reporting practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience supporting data analysis, data validation, data management, dashboard development, reporting, metadata management, or business intelligence.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Co-Pilot, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Federal Government programs or contracts.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, SQL, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, or data quality initiatives.
  • Familiarity with financial, portfolio, or program performance reporting.
