Senior Fixture Design Engineer leads end-to-end design, development, and deployment of manufacturing fixtures and production tooling to support NPI and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Core Responsibilities
Fixture & Tooling Design: Design assembly, inspection, test fixtures, EOAT, jigs, and gauges aligned to manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements. Mechanical Engineering: Develop 3D models, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and automation-ready mechanisms. Program Ownership: Drive tooling lifecycle from concept design fabrication validation production launch. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and customers; lead design reviews and approvals. Supplier & Build Management: Manage tooling vendors, fabrication, FAT, and production readiness. Validation & Launch: Support builds, commissioning, capability studies, APQP/PPAP, and process validation. Continuous Improvement: Optimize tooling performance, support change management, and mentor teams.
Requirements
Experience: 7+ years in fixture/tooling design or manufacturing engineering Skills: CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, manufacturing processes Domain Exposure: NPI, automation tooling, robotic EOAT, global team coordination, supplier management Preferred: APQP/PPAP, PLM tools (Teamcenter/Windchill), safety & ergonomics
Success Profile
Strong mechanical design expertise, ability to convert evolving requirements into robust tooling solutions, lead global programs, and deliver high-quality, scalable manufacturing outcomes in fast-paced
Mandatory Skills: CAD Modeling .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
