Job description

What if your data science expertise could help shape safer medicines for millions of patients worldwide? As a Senior Expert I or Senior Expert II Data Science, you will apply advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational modelling to tackle complex scientific challenges and influence critical decisions across drug discovery and early development. Working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will transform diverse biological and scientific data into meaningful insights that help identify risks earlier, accelerate innovation, and support the development of life-changing medicines., * Develop innovative artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to support critical scientific decision-making.

  • Build scalable data pipelines that enable efficient analysis, model development, and insight generation.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.

  • Experience working with large and complex scientific, healthcare, or research datasets.

  • Strong programming skills using Python or a comparable programming language.

  • Experience building and deploying end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions.

  • Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modelling, validation techniques, and performance evaluation.

  • Experience working with databases and modern data processing technologies.

  • Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills within multidisciplinary environments.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in drug discovery, toxicology, predictive safety, or pharmacology.

  • Experience with generative artificial intelligence, explainable artificial intelligence, graph machine learning or agentic workflows

**Appointment level Senior Expert I / Senior Expert II will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.

  • Paid time off, Senior Expert I Data Science: $126,000.00 - 180,000.00 - 234,000.00 USD Annual per year;

Senior Expert II Data Science: $138,600.00 - 198,000.00 - 257,400.00 USD Annual per year.

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for a performance-based cash incentive and may be eligible for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees receive health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) plan with company contribution and match, wellbeing and financial benefits, and generous paid time off including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leave benefits.
