Job description

An established technology organisation is looking for an Infrastructure Technician to support and maintain cloud-hosted infrastructure environments, primarily within Microsoft Azure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Technician with experience across cloud infrastructure, patching, monitoring, security hardening, and customer-facing technical support.

The role is home-based, with travel to customer sites across the UK and occasional wider European support when required., As the Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining Azure-based hosting infrastructure
  • Managing infrastructure deployments, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
  • Working with customers to coordinate patch schedules and infrastructure changes
  • Monitoring Public and Private Cloud environments
  • Supporting SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service availability in line with SLA commitments
  • Maintaining alerting, monitoring, and reporting systems
  • Supporting disaster recovery planning and failover testing
  • Implementing security best practice across infrastructure environments
  • Supporting authentication, RBAC, and access control management
  • Producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment documentation
  • Supporting compliance across ISO27001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials+, and NCSC principles
  • Assisting with technical pre-sales support when required

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Sales support?, We’re looking for an Infrastructure Technician with experience in:

Essential:

  • Microsoft Azure infrastructure administration
  • Windows Server patching and maintenance
  • Cloud monitoring and alerting tools
  • Infrastructure security hardening
  • Disaster recovery / backup environments
  • Technical documentation and infrastructure diagrams
  • Customer-facing technical communication
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • SaaS / PaaS / IaaS environments
  • ISO27001 / Cyber Essentials+ awareness
  • Microsoft cloud certifications
  • Infrastructure deployment project work
  • Authentication / RBAC administration
