Job description

An employer is looking to hire a Sr. Backend Developer for a fully remote opportunity. This role will be working with a fast growing start up that just passed their Series B funding. The role will be to help guide a team through migrating off a legacy AWS Lambda/Serverless Framework + Hasura GraphQL monolith onto a new NestJS

Requirements

7-10 years of Development Experience (Backend Specialty)

Expertise with Type Script and NodeJS

Advanced Experience using Claude Code for development (Not Vide Coding)

Expertise in Backend Database Architecture and Database Optimization performance

Advanced API Design and Development Experience

StartUP or Early Stage Company Experience Experience with NestJS, Fastify, or Drizzle/Prisma ORM.

Experience with Hasura or another GraphQL-engine-over-Postgres setup.

Familiarity with feature-flagging systems Statsig or similar)

Exposure to OpenTelemetry/distributed tracing
