Job description

Requirements

A fast-growing robotics organization in the Boston area is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help advance the next generation of intelligent automation systems used in high-volume logistics environments. This full-time position offers the opportunity to develop the software that enables robotic hardware to perceive, plan, and interact with the physical world. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in robotics, algorithm development, and software engineering, along with a passion for solving complex real-world challenges., * Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing software for robotic or autonomous systems
  • Strong understanding of robotic arm kinematics, motion generation, path optimization, and control concepts
  • Proficiency in modern C++ and Python development
  • Experience designing, implementing, and refining computationally intensive algorithms
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex software and system-level issues
  • Strong communicator with experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to machine learning techniques used within robotics or decision-making systems
  • Experience developing software for industrial or commercial robotic deployments
  • Knowledge of scalable distributed systems supporting multiple robotic platforms
  • Technical leadership or mentorship experience
  • Familiarity with modern robotics frameworks, simulation tools, and planning libraries
