Founding Engineer

This is a founding engineering role at an a16z-backed AI startup building go-to-market automation tools for sales and marketing teams. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team in New York, owning major product areas end-to-end and shipping features that directly shape the product and its customers’ outcomes. What You’ll Do Collaborate closely with founders to define product requirements, build features, and iterate rapidly on customer feedback. 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping and iterating in production environments. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for building APIs, backend systems, and user interfaces. Solid data modeling fundamentals and experience designing scalable production systems. Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML features in production. Comfort using AI coding agents and LLM-based development tools as part of daily workflow. Experience shipping features end-to-end - from requirements through deployment - in early-stage startup settings. Ownership-oriented mindset with a desire for real influence over product and roadmap decisions. Bonus: Experience with GTM workflows, outbound campaigns, or customer-facing technical work.
