Job description

The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking a System Administrator to join the OIS Systems Management division. This position serves as the subject matter expert for client information systems, business processes, and offers solutions for efficiencies with system usage and data collection. The position also supports end users, troubleshoot incidents, gathers enhancements, prepares for releases, and trains staff on systems., This position is hybrid and will be performed both onsite at various DOCCR facilities within Hennepin County, and remote as job duties require. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional after hours and/or weekends to assist with user support and deploy system releases. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin., * Serve as the subject matter expert on client information system management, division business processes, and DOCCR operations.

  • Provide daily support to end users and maintain user accounts
  • Create and facilitate division specific training curriculum and training guides.
  • Develop and implement uniform practices related to client information systems and business practices.
  • Implement data auditing practices with lines of business.
  • Identify needs for data quality reports.
  • Participate in testing for client information system releases.
  • Manage projects related to the system and business process improvements.
  • Serve as a representative for department projects and technology initiatives.
  • Foster working relationships within the team and beyond., + Working with client information systems such as CSTS (Corrections Services Technology Solutions), OMS (Offender Management System), and databases.
  • Working with lines of business in DOCCR or other corrections agencies.
  • Developing and implementing standardized practices.
  • Preparing and testing for system updates and implementation.
  • Working with DOCCR clients.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Criminal Justice System Processes.
  • Adult Correctional Facility business processes.
  • Ability to:
  • Provide strategic guidance to business units.
  • Prioritize system initiatives and drive change.
  • Implement process improvement strategies for client information systems.
  • Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Utilize SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Deliver culturally responsive and respectful services.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and four or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
