Senior Network Engineer

• Design, deploy, and maintain advanced network architectures including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), data centers, and cloud environments such as AWS and VMware.
• Configure and manage network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, and other enterprise-grade equipment.
• Implement and oversee network security protocols including Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IPsec, SSL/TLS encryption, and firewall policies to safeguard organizational data.
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; perform vulnerability assessments; conduct regular system audits; and execute troubleshooting procedures for complex issues involving equipment or software failures.
• Manage network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, NFS, LDAP, SFTP, and SNMP to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Lead network installation projects including configuration of load balancing solutions, high availability setups, and system design for data centers or cloud platforms.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash Shell Scripting, PowerShell, Python or Ansible to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure upgrades; participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes; ensure compliance with ITIL standards; and provide technical troubleshooting support for network security incidents or outages.

• Extensive knowledge of network security practices including IDS/IPS systems (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), vulnerability assessment tools like SolarWinds or Splunk Security modules.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for network access control; PKI for digital certificates; Cisco ASA firewalls; Meraki cloud-managed devices; openSUSE or CentOS Linux distributions; VMware vSphere virtualization platforms; AWS cloud services.
• Strong background in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments as well as UNIX/Linux distributions such as Debian, Ubuntu, BSD variants like Solaris or FreeBSD.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies using scripting languages like Bash or Python; automation tools such as Ansible; configuration management practices; high availability architectures; load balancing techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues involving equipment hardware support or software configurations while maintaining optimal network performance.
• Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure components including SAN storage systems; DNS/DHCP services; GPO management; LDAP authentication systems; VPN setup & management for remote access solutions.
