Telecommunications Installer

This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing your technical skills and physical prowess to deliver high-quality service and solutions., * Install telecommunications cables, fiber optic systems, and network infrastructure according to schematics and technical drawings

• Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to access outdoor work sites
• Use diagnostic tools and telecommunications testing equipment to verify system performance and troubleshoot issues effectively
• Conduct telecommunications outside plant operations, including trenching, conduit installation, and cable pulling in adherence to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards
• Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting guides to complete installations accurately
• Support telecommunication testing procedures for LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring setups

• Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications or related construction activities
• Strong outdoor work experience with knowledge of telecommunications outside plant operations and fiber optic network installation
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards applicable to outdoor electrical work
• Technical proficiency with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, schematics interpretation, and computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and telephony systems
• Climbing skills necessary for working at heights on poles or structures; physical ability to perform construction tasks involving lifting, bending, and climbing
• Construction experience combined with electrical or low voltage wiring background is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting support for fiber optic networks and IT infrastructure
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate heavy machinery safely; outdoor work experience is essential
