Join our dynamic team as a Telecommunications Installer and become a vital part of building and maintaining cutting-edge communication networks. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems, including fiber optic networks, copper cabling, and associated equipment. Your expertise will ensure reliable connectivity for a variety of clients, supporting their IT infrastructure and communication needs. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing your technical skills and physical prowess to deliver high-quality service and solutions., * Install telecommunications cables, fiber optic systems, and network infrastructure according to schematics and technical drawings
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to access outdoor work sites
- Use diagnostic tools and telecommunications testing equipment to verify system performance and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct telecommunications outside plant operations, including trenching, conduit installation, and cable pulling in adherence to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting guides to complete installations accurately
- Support telecommunication testing procedures for LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring setups
Requirements
- Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications or related construction activities
- Strong outdoor work experience with knowledge of telecommunications outside plant operations and fiber optic network installation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards applicable to outdoor electrical work
- Technical proficiency with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, schematics interpretation, and computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and telephony systems
- Climbing skills necessary for working at heights on poles or structures; physical ability to perform construction tasks involving lifting, bending, and climbing
- Construction experience combined with electrical or low voltage wiring background is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting support for fiber optic networks and IT infrastructure
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate heavy machinery safely; outdoor work experience is essential
