Job description

UPDATE: We really need more folks on this- client is OK with someone with just “solid engineers with strong .NET fundamentals” please do not be too concerned with anything in the JD outside of that ***2nd round interview will be onsite. We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications for a highly regulated banking environment. The ideal candidate brings strong backend development expertise in .NET alongside a solid understanding of AngularJS front-end architecture, enabling effective collaboration across the full stack. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and system integrations using .NET frameworks.
Support and contribute to AngularJS-based front-end applications, ensuring alignment between front-end and backend layers.
Develop and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms across web applications and APIs.
Design and maintain secure API endpoints in compliance with security best practices and banking industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
Monitor and optimize application performance against established KPIs and service-level objectives.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with .NET backend development, including API design and service development.
Working knowledge of AngularJS front-end architecture and its integration with backend services.
Deep understanding of authentication and identity technologies such as OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
Demonstrated experience securing applications, APIs, and endpoints in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of application security best practices and secure coding standards.
Experience working in performance-driven environments with measurable KPIs.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
Experience supporting applications with elevated security and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with enterprise-scale architectures and system integrations.
