Job description

Join ETI as a trusted technical resource supporting vacuum pumps, dry pumps, abatement systems, and related semiconductor tools. Working under close guidance, you’ll help customers, field service teams, and internal stakeholders select products, apply solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across complex electro-mechanical and chemical systems. A Day in the Role

  • Start by reviewing open application and service requests and preparing clear guidance for field engineers.
  • Collaborate with Sales to shape a customer proposal-interpreting design data, advising on product selection and part numbers, and compiling detailed specifications with input from Ebara colleagues worldwide.
  • Join a customer call to fine-tune an installation plan for dry pumps and abatement equipment; document requirements and risks.
  • Head to the fab floor (or join remotely) to troubleshoot system behavior-reading electrical schematics, running 5 Why analysis, and validating a repair plan.
  • Wrap up by creating a concise application note to disseminate best practices, then complete scheduled safety training and workspace checks.

What You’ll Do

  • Present and interpret design, application, and service information for ETI Components Vacuum and Abatement products; deliver clear, compelling presentations to customers and internal teams.
  • Assist Sales in assessing customer needs; prepare detailed specifications and data packages, coordinating with Ebara offices globally.
  • Provide technical applications and marketing support for customer solutions involving complex operating systems.
  • Advise Sales, Marketing, and Field Service on product selection, specifications, part numbers, and application fit.
  • Assist in planning and executing detailed customer installation plans.
  • Tackle problems of limited scope by analyzing identifiable factors and proposing practical next steps.
  • Deliver follow-up support, including dissemination of technical information and application guidance.
  • Comply with EBARA safety policies and complete all required safety training; maintain a clean, safe work environment aligned with Ebara and customer policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Physics preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-4 years of professional experience, ideally in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and strong presentation skills.
  • Time management, self-starter mindset, teamwork, and organization.
  • Leadership and program management aptitude; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across teams and with customers.
  • Capability to provide verification of a good driving record when servicing customers offsite.

Technical Strengths

  • Equipment, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Electrical schematics interpretation
  • 5 Why root cause analysis
  • Service, maintenance, and component repair of mechanical systems
