Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Product Owner for a Planner Product Team within an Agile Release Train. Responsible for driving value delivery for a planning application that is a key component of a complex command-and-control system. Provides overall leadership for the product team in an Agile development environment, coordinates and prioritizes stakeholder requirements to ensure regular delivery of value, and manages needs across multiple task orders and products in different phases of development. Contributes to the overall program roadmap, assesses progress, and reports status to leadership. Interfaces with the customer program office, collaborates with other product teams and Agile Release Trains to plan and execute releases, and works with support, training, platform, infrastructure, and technical leadership teams to communicate priorities. Supports the preparation and presentation of briefings and demonstrations to customers and stakeholders, assists with Earned Value Management baseline and reporting, and contributes to proposal development.

PR: 60-85/hr DOE

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field + 8 years of experience; or Master’s degree (preferred) + 6 years of relevant experience; or PhD + 4 years of relevant experience

  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%

  • Proven leadership experience in full life cycle development of large, integrated DoD systems (requirements development and interpretation, design, implementation, testing, fielding, and maintenance)

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner

  • Proven experience identifying customer needs and prioritizing requirements

  • Experience and understanding of Earned Value Management within a software development environment

  • Knowledge of common software development and management tools (Maven, Git/GitLab, Nexus, Eclipse)

-Experience in Agile development methodologies

  • Understanding of standard systems engineering design artifacts (Use Cases, Requirements, SysML diagrams) - Experience developing command and control system applications

  • Understanding of Software Integration and Formal Testing

  • Knowledge of implementing Cybersecurity/RMF requirements

  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PM/PO) certification

  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management within a large, complex development program

  • Experience developing and integrating containerized software

  • Experience working with third-party providers and collaborating with external teams

  • Experience managing and creating cross-program roadmaps while tracking dependencies

-Experience in business development

  • Experience interfacing with the warfighter to understand emerging needs

  • Willingness and flexibility to handle unexpected tasks
