Job description
As a Systems Integration Test Engineer, you will own multiple system capabilities throughout the integration and test lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyze and decompose system requirements into comprehensive test cases
- Develop and execute manual integration and system tests
- Document test execution results using test management tools
- Create, document, and track anomaly reports for issues identified during testing
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to troubleshoot defects and resolve integration issues
- Develop failure mode and negative test scenarios
- Support the development and implementation of automated test scripts
- Work alongside automation engineers to improve regression and integration testing
- Participate in hardware and software integration activities within the HWIL environment
- Help develop and communicate long-term hardware integration strategies
Requirements
We are seeking experienced Systems Integration Test Engineers to support advanced aerospace and defense programs in Palmdale, CA. This role is ideal for engineers with extensive experience testing software-intensive systems in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) integration laboratories who enjoy solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative engineering environment.

- Level 4: Bachelor’s + 16 years OR Master’s + 14 years of relevant experience
- (Manager will also consider Level 3 candidates with 9+ years of experience.)
- 10+ years of experience integrating and/or testing software-intensive systems
- Extensive experience working in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) System Integration Lab
- 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
- JIRA
- GitLab
- GitHub
- 5+ years of experience using one or more of the following:
- Eggplant
- Cucumber
- Python
- Experience with Omniview
- Experience supporting Mission Planning CONOPS (Concept of Operations)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
