Contract Support Specialist (CSS)

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience; or have a Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degree.\n
• Have a passion for the construction management field and experience in road and bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) project related duties (e.g., progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, and processing construction contract changes).\n
• Be experienced in the use of standard word processing software.\n
• Possess organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and communications skills.\n
• Have the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others.\n
• Materials Acceptance Database Software - MAC or equivalent\n
• Project daily work reporting software - SiteManager\n
• Project Database for files - LIMS, Project Solve\n
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record\n
• Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames\n

As a Contract Support Specialist (CSS), you will monitor the contractor’s construction activities and materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, is enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and dependable. \n \n \nResponsibilities include but are not limited to: \n \n \n

• Review detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the work\n
• Prepare and process monthly and final pay estimates\n

• Ensure all calculations are correct and conform with contract requirements\n
• Track all pay quantities\n
• Verify dimensions of completed work\n

\n

Process Contract Change Orders and Supplemental Agreements\n

Review and Approve all materials incorporated into the project by certification, testing, or other approved methods\n, n \nPreferred Certifications / Credentials: \n \n \n

• CTQP Final Estimates Level I\n
• CTQP Final Estimates Level II\n
• OSHA 10 Hour\n
