Job description
As an IT strategic sourcing analyst lead on our Strategic Sourcing team, you’ll leverage your expertise in leading end-to-end source selection activities through RFx processes and Proofs of Concept (POCs) to support Progressive’s IT procurement initiatives. In this role, you’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define business and technical requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and facilitate competitive sourcing events that drive informed vendor selection decisions. You’ll lead supplier engagements, coordinate evaluations, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and provide strategic guidance throughout the procurement lifecycle to deliver optimal value while ensuring alignment with Progressive’s business objectives, technology strategy, and procurement best practices. This is a remote position for US-based work only.
Requirements
- Minimum of 9 years of related IT work experience (e.g. IT Sourcing, IT Contracts, IT Vendor Relationships).
- {OR} Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related discipline (e.g., MIS, Business Management, Supply Chain/Procurement) and a minimum of 6 years of related IT work experience (e.g. IT Sourcing, IT Contracts, IT Vendor Relationships)
Preferred skills
- Strong business analyst and relationship management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills; ability to influence others and gain commitment
- Strong experience in managing RFx processes and leading Proof of Concepts for effective vendor selection
- Proven ability to manage and execute multiple deals simultaneously with exceptional project management skills and attention to detail, while effectively collaborating with cross-functional stakeholder groups, including legal, finance, information security, and risk teams
- Experience with sourcing and procurement systems or processes (Coupa SAP, ARIBA, etc.), Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need or potential need, of current or future sponsorship for employment.
