Job description
Join our innovative team as a Senior ATE Test Development Engineer (
- Design and implement electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and system architectures using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks to support test system integration.
- Develop and program test sequences using SystemVerilog, C++, Python, MATLAB, and scripting languages to automate testing processes and improve throughput.
- Perform root cause analysis on test failures or system malfunctions by analyzing signal processing data, debugging hardware/software issues, and utilizing simulation tools like Simulink.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on PCB design, FPGA programming, SoC integration, and soldering techniques to optimize test hardware performance.
- Conduct engineering testing and validation of electrical systems, control systems, and automation workflows to ensure reliability and compliance with electrical building codes.
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production line issues related to electrical systems or automation equipment while maintaining safety standards such as NEC compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role focused on electronics design, system development verification, or automation.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Revit, MicroStation), simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink), and programming languages including C++, Python, Perl, and scripting for engineering applications.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design (Surface Mount Technology), FPGA development (including ARM architectures), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and firmware programming.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic design, control systems engineering, surface mount technology assembly techniques, and electrical system design principles.
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems such as vision inspection systems and communication protocols for engineering specialty applications.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis using tools like Ohmmeters or signal analyzers; skilled in debugging hardware/software issues efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical engineering principles; experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Revit or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Excellent project scheduling skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines; strong troubleshooting skills are essential.
Benefits & conditions
