Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Receive phone calls and email from staff for hardware and software issues. Maintain district student and staff accounts and district technology inventory., * Be a primary contact point for rostering district purchased curriculum and account management

  • Receive and provide response to technology help desk calls
  • Provide initial analysis of reported technology issue and work to solve the problem immediately when possible or refer issue to building technical support or other staff
  • Manage students and staff accounts on the network
  • Manage phone systems, passwords/usernames, and voicemail accounts
  • Receive technology purchases including tagging items and entering into inventory system
  • Process yearly inventory updates from building support technicians
  • Work with district staff to provide technical support for website
  • Assist in district technology training classes
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of installed hardware and existing software applications.
  • Create documentation for staff for common issues
  • Work collaboratively with Tumwater Technology staff to insure excellent customer service
  • Comply with district safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

RESPONSIBLE TO: Technology Supervisor

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Possess a valid Washington State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and a good driving record. Criminal justice fingerprint clearance. Completion of a community college, vocational school, or industry sponsored training program in computer related field preferred., * Experience diagnosing and repairing various hardware and software problems

  • Analytic and research ability to successfully troubleshoot technology issues
  • Successful experience working in a customer service oriented job
  • Prior experience supporting IT environments
  • Able to follow written and verbal direction and take initiative when necessary
  • Demonstrated skill in communication supporting a diverse staff
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with staff who may have a high level of frustration
  • Desire for continued professional growth
  • Ability to maintain high ethical standards throughout all duties
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
