Job description

Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Data Analyst to support air-launched hypersonic vehicles. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of various data analytical concepts, programming languages, and tools. This role involves interfacing with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and program management., * Collaborate with design team to develop analytical approaches for data collection/ aggregation/analysis

  • Support development of efficient and effective test and evaluation plans
  • Participate in design reviews, readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test data reviews
  • Architect and optimize design and test data review and analysis methodologies and tools
  • Coordinate internally with multi-disciplinary team and externally with customers
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and integrity in the fulfillment of commitments

  • Ability to use programming languages to facilitate data analysis
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET or above level, * MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Project), * Experience working with an aerospace engineering development/modification program
  • Experience wearing multiple hats in a small team environment
  • Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes

  • Experience translating operational analysis into system requirements
  • Active security clearance

Preferred Skills

  • Experience programming (Python, MatLab, Linux)
  • Experience with CAD (NX Preferred)
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Jira, Git, etc.
  • Experience with requirement management systems such as Jama, Cameo, DOORS, etc., * Level I ($83,000-$120,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level II ($101,079-$146,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 2-5 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable

  • Position based in Mojave, CA. Consideration for hybrid (partial remote/on-site work) work location arrangement for well-qualified candidates and remote (outside of CA) work location arrangement for exceptional candidates.
  • Travel, as needed, to support the department. Travel estimated to be <5%
