Staff Software Engineer - Developer Experience

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape the Developer Experience platform, guiding design and architecture for cross-team tooling and AI-enabled resources. You’ll build and improve internal platforms, service catalogs, and integrations to speed software delivery while upholding governance and security. You will collaborate with Architecture and multiple engineering teams to drive adoption and measurable improvements. Compensation / Benefits * Lead architecture and design for Developer Experience capabilities * Build and improve internal developer platforms, service catalogs, scorecards, self-service workflows, and integrations * Connect developer tools to source control, CI/CD, observability, identity, cloud, and work-management systems * Develop practical AI tools, reusable skills, workflow integrations, and evaluation harnesses * Shape solutions with engineering teams and Architecture before implementation * Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and help them grow ownership * Promote responsible AI use and establish engineering standards for permissions, telemetry, evaluation, and tool support * Collaborate with QA, SRE, InfoSec, IAM, and R&D Operations when expertise is needed * Document, train, and enable adoption of platforms and tools * Define and track adoption metrics, task completion, and feedback to drive improvement Tasks * 8+ years of professional software engineering experience * Track record of leading technical initiatives across multiple engineers or systems * Deep expertise in frontend or backend technologies or both * Experience with cloud architecture * Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting * Genuine interest in applying AI to accelerate and improve software delivery in a responsible way Key requirements * comprehensive healthcare * flexible PTO * equity RSUs * annual performance bonus opportunities * retirement account support * 14+ weeks of paid parental leave
