Agile Developer

Immediate direct-hire opportunity for a Full Stack Software Developer supporting cloud-based applications and microservices in Fort Meade, MD. Responsible for full stack development, including front-end applications, APIs, and backing data stores. Contract Duration: [INSERT CONTRACT DURATION].Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance requirements.
• Design, develop, modify, test, debug, and integrate software applications and systems.
• Develop cloud-based applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern development frameworks.
• Build and maintain APIs, database interfaces, queries, and data repository solutions.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance, data usage, workflows, and operational requirements.
• Implement algorithms and software enhancements to meet functional and performance standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Agile development processes, and software releases.
• Debug existing software, correct defects, and improve system performance.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems and operating environments.
• Create, review, and maintain software and system documentation.
• Provide recommendations for improving software development processes and documentation standards.
• Serve as a technical lead at the appropriate level within the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement complex database interfaces and queries.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope (FS) Polygraph required, with CI Polygraph completed within the last 7 years.
• Local availability to support work in Fort Meade, MD.
• Bachelor s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with full stack development, including front-end development, APIs, and backing data stores.
• Experience developing Spring Boot microservices and 12-Factor applications.
• Experience with serialization technologies such as JSON and/or BSON.
• Proficiency with:
• Java
• JavaScript frameworks (React)
• GitLab
• Maven
• Jenkins
• Nexus
• Modern datastores including NoSQL, relational, and object databases
• Experience with cloud-based application development and microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with Spring, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Swagger, and AWS managed services preferred.
• Experience with system requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, test frameworks, automation, and Agile methodologies preferred.
• Familiarity with FOSS/GOTS environments and cloud development preferred.
