Software Testing Team Manager

Description

SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Testing Team Manager to support the Precision Fires team supporting the Aviation and Missile Center located in Huntsville, AL onsite at Redstone Arsenal.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads the development of test plans, test schedule, and approach for all testing environments
• Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
• Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads
• Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
• Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
• Creates daily test metrics and reporting; communicates test results
• Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
• Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management
• Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations

Qualifications

Required Education:

• BS degree with nine (9) years of experience; Six (6) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)

Required Skills:

• Understanding of software test methodologies
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in organizationally complex environments
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations
• Working knowledge of test range planning and coordination
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with an ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Experience using version control software

Required Clearance:

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
