Job description

The Federal Test Automation team is seeking a Staff Automation Engineer to support the Federal VA project. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions using Eggplant and SenseTalk , supporting initiatives such as regression testing, test data population, interface testing, and other quality assurance activities., As a Staff Automation Engineer, you will work independently, with appropriate guidance, to deliver high-quality functional and technical solutions in accordance with Oracle methodologies, standards, and best practices., * Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Eggplant and SenseTalk .

  • Support automated regression testing, data generation and population, interface testing , and other testing initiatives for the Federal VA project.
  • Develop reliable and reusable automation solutions that improve testing efficiency, coverage, and quality.
  • Apply coding standards, quality assurance practices, and automation best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and configure detailed technical solutions for ongoing projects.
  • Perform testing and automation activities supporting the implementation and delivery of Oracle products and technologies.
  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment within established policies and processes.
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and identify opportunities to improve existing test frameworks and processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical, functional, and testing teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Apply Oracle methodologies, company procedures, and industry best practices in day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in functional, technical, software testing, or test automation roles.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Understanding of Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium solutions , software development and coding best practices, quality assurance methodologies, and technology design principles.
  • Ability to independently deliver quality work products on moderately complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Eggplant test automation and SenseTalk .
  • Experience with Oracle Health/Cerner test automation .
  • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare or federal technology implementations.

Additional Requirements

  • Due to specific client contract requirements, the successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen .
  • Applicants for U.S.-based positions must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $166,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
