Job description

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Requirements

  • Experience with military or space mission programs.
  • Experience Using DOORS and/or DOORS NG
  • Experience with SysML
  • Exposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody

Desired Skills

  • Prior Experience working with RAPT-2 or other IGNITE programs is highly desirable

LM Space is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification, and integration of complex aerospace and space systems, translating high level mission objectives into clear system architectures, interface control documents, and integration schedules.

This role helps coordinate hardware, software, and test teams to ensure that every subsystem meets rigorous performance, safety, and reliability criteria while complying with all relevant regulations. The engineer is responsible for system level test planning and execution, configuration baseline management. The position requires extensive collaboration with the overall program team.
