Job description

  • Provides direct staff support for an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system based on MS SQL Server.
  • Provides Technical Support on Client Portal functions for Staff and Staff relayed client issues.
  • Diagnoses issues with and/or enhances the Health records system - primarily via the alteration or construction of MS SQL Stored Procedures.
  • Construction of SQL Server Reporting System components (SSRS RDLS).
  • Fundamentally understands SQL - including the ability to construct complex queries that may involve the use of CTEs, temporary working tables, and higher-level SQL Server SQL extensions.
  • Develops and maintains SQL database reports and customized Business Intelligence Reports utilizing SQL databases and Power BI to transform raw data into meaningful, visual dashboards and reports for Executive Leadership, Division Directors, Program Administrators, and Quality Assurance.
  • Automates processes using MS SQL Reporting Services when possible.
  • Interacts with end users to establish and clarify reporting requirements and develops SQL reports to specifications.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves database performance issues.
  • Manages deployment of security patches, hotfixes, and software updates to SQL servers/databases - both internally managed Databases and those managed by the Health Records system vendor.
  • Works closely with the MIS team supporting all Center systems and maintenance activities.
  • Works directly with vendors where required on escalated issues or enhancements.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of SQL and Power BI reporting.
  • Routinely works on integration of products between current applications and new applications as they are implemented utilizing various APIs.

Requirements

  • Associate level College Degree in Information Technology or higher level degree preferred.
  • Experience such as certifications or equivalent work experience with MS-SQL (2014 or higher) Server and relational database applications required.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in SQL development and reporting required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with SmartCare from Streamline Health (EHR) performing administrative/support functions preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred.
