Job description
- Develop multi-discipline (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical) proficiency during the program.
- Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water).
- Perform basic lab tests with supervision of lab manager, prepare daily technical report with supervision.
- Produce SIPOC diagram for the departmentâs operations, key physical locations.
- Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects.
- General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, Soft starts &breakers).
- Perform Operational & Cost Studies.
- Perform tasks as an Area Supervisor.
Requirements
- Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion.
- Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas.
- Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented.The ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Emotional Intelligence.
- Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills.
- Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately., * B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
- 0 - 2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops).
- Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences is required.
- Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better).
Benefits & conditions
SALARY PAY RANGE:$63,500 - $105,500 plus bonus
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidateâs qualifications and prior experience.
Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.
