Job description
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client IT support requests via phone, email, and our ticketing system.
- Provide friendly, patient, and professional customer service at all times.
- Perform remote (Level 1 and Level 2) troubleshooting for desktops, laptops (Windows/Mac), printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
- Provide support for common business applications, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and basic Active Directory (password resets, user unlocks).
- Travel to client sites to perform hands-on troubleshooting, new hardware installations (workstations, monitors, docking stations), and basic network support.
- Meticulously document all support requests, activities, and solutions in our ticketing system (PSA).
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians (Level 3) in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Level 1/Level 2 IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid role that combines remote help desk support with regular on-site client visits. The ideal candidate will be a patient and clear communicator with foundational IT troubleshooting skills.
A key requirement for this position is the Two to Three Days a Week to support our clients’ weekend operational needs. If you enjoy solving new problems every day and want to grow your technical skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you., * Proficient in technical support principles with a strong understanding of computer management practices.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. You must be patient, empathetic, and able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and their troubleshooting techniques.
- Solid foundational knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic troubleshooting principles.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and handle a dynamic schedule.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and obtain new technical certifications (which we will support!).
- Required: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites., * Experience with low-voltage cabling (running/terminating CAT5e/CAT6, mounting WAPs or cameras) is a significant plus.
- Experience in managing mobile devices within an enterprise environment.
- Understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPO) for system configuration management.
